Senior Editor, EF, Shanghai (China job)
Job Description:
Englishtown is the world¡¯s largest online English education provider, and is a division of Education First (EF). Our mission is to deliver the best English learning product on the market, by creating a product that is effective, efficient and fun.
We are currently seeking a Senior Editor on our fast-growing Product Development team. This person will play an important role in developing the next generation of our online courseware and helping us create a truly innovative product.
Job Responsibilities
1. working with the editorial team to revise the overall ESL syllabus and set academic guidelines
2. working with a team of writers and editors to create multimedia ESL courseware for online and offline delivery
3. working with project teams to develop high-quality educational tools and features
4. ensuring the quality, accuracy and consistency of all products and communications
Applicants should have:
1. a degree in Education, TESOL, English or Linguistics (preferably Masters level)
2. at least 5 years experience in the field of ESL/ELT
3. proven expertise in ESL/ELT content development and course design (especially online and/or multimedia materials)
4. an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in written English
5. creativity, enthusiasm, energy and team spirit
6. excellent computer skills and the ability to work well in a technology environment
7. strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
8. sound commercial awareness
